Basketball is a team sport that reminds us that, together, we are stronger and capable of reaching goals far beyond our individual limits. Guided by this spirit, the Community of Basketball Historians unites people from around the world who share a passion for preserving and celebrating the cultural and historical legacy of the game.
It creates a network and unites individuals (students, independent researchers, journalists, collectors, archivists, artists…) as well as institutions such as museums, federations, universities, and heritage organizations. The Community aims to serve as a bridge among them, facilitating cooperation, knowledge‐sharing, and joint efforts.
By breaking down geographic, institutional and disciplinary borders, the Community aims to make basketball history accessible and meaningful for everyone who cares about the game’s past and its ongoing legacy.
