Introduction
The FIBA Open is a grassroots 3x3 basketball tournament held yearly over a weekend at FIBA's Headquarters in Mies. The tournament gathers the communities of the surrounding regions in a joyous atmosphere.
The tournament aims to be as inclusive as possible, with a wide range of categories to accommodate people of all ages and capabilities to participate!
Everyone will find their place within the wide range of categories, which range from youth to over 40 and include Wheelchair and Special Olympics.
Mixed categories, such as Family and Corporate, allow people from the same household or company to have a fun day and create unforgettable memories!
The FIBA Open also welcomes a stage of the 3x3 Swiss Tour and Elite Women tour on the Saturday.
Since 2024, the FIBA Open has entered a new dimension becoming a fundraising event for a social cause. Every year, all the benefits generated during the event will be donated to a social project supported by the FIBA Foundation. This initiative is aligned with the Basketball For Good vision of the Foundation - using the power of basketball to initiate a positive change.
